The very first time I saw Misty, I fell in love with her. She was a very beautiful cat  and had the finest silver shaded coat that I have ever seen, her well mingled chocolate tortie pattern was barely discernable at the very tip of the hair.  Some leg and tail markings were visible as she was of heterozygous ticked based pattern,  unlike her daughter UK Grand Champion &  Grand Premier Chelanca Pentlandite who is of homozygous ticked based pattern.

Misty was given to me by John Harrison.  John idolized her, but unfortunately the feeling was not mutual.  They endured a very simple love/hate relationship, he loved Misty and she hated him.  By the time she was 15 months old the situation was no different, and realising that she would never be happy, he asked me if I would like her.  Needless to say, I accepted and she settled down very well in my home.   She was a very indifferent female, and always did her own thing.  There was no question of Showing her, for it was not the easiest  thing in the world to get her to the Vet's for booster vaccinations, let alone to a Cat Show.

Misty together with Grand Champion Megrim Astral Spectre (Timmy) formed the foundation  of my ticked based shaded line.  Misty  was happiest when she had a litter of kittens to care for.  She never let them out of her sight, and guarded them with her life.
